Pick-up from hotels in 4x4 vehicles and transfer to the Wadi Darbat valley, where the off-road expedition begins, during which you will be able to see camels in their natural habitat. Stop at a traditional Jebali house, inhabitants of the mountainous areas of the Dhofar region, to learn about their culture and lifestyle, and take some time to take photos among the local houses with camels. Then, cross the local river and take a coffee break at the top of Wadi Darbat, overlooking the valley. Next, drive through the sand dunes near Mirbat and make a short stop at the fortress in Mirbat, which once protected the city from invaders and now houses a museum presenting the history and culture of the region. Transfer to Mirbat beach and time for photos or active recreation, with a choice of attractions such as snorkelling, kayaking along the coast or quad biking on the desert dunes. Relax by the bonfire with traditional music, snacks and soft drinks. Return to the hotel.
During Ramadan, a traditional Iftar and grill will be served after sunset. Live music will not be played.
Pickup times and the excursion program during Ramadan are subject to change. Consumption of food and drinks in open and non-designated areas is to be avoided. During the tour, clothing must cover shoulders, upper arms, and knees. Tight or revealing outfits are not recommended.
Important: Additional insurance coverage is recommended.
