Program Description

Your journey begins with a visit to the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, located in the heart of the Bavarian Alps. Wearing traditional miners’ clothing, you will travel deep into the mountain by train and discover the fascinating underground world of salt mining. See the impressive Mirror Lake and the Salt Cathedral while learning about the region’s 500-year-old salt-mining tradition.
After exploring the mine, enjoy some free time in the charming town of Berchtesgaden. Take a stroll through its historic streets and experience the atmosphere of this picturesque Alpine town surrounded by mountains.
In the afternoon, join the Original Sound of Music Tour® and visit some of the most famous filming locations from the beloved movie. See Mirabell Gardens, Leopoldskron Palace, Nonnberg Abbey, Hellbrunn Palace and the church in Mondsee. Along the way, discover fascinating stories about the making of the film and follow the path of the von Trapp family.

- Pets are not permitted on the tour.
- Children under 4 years of age must be included in the reservation. If the tour is fully booked, they will travel on an accompanying adult's lap.
- Present your mobile voucher at the Panorama Tour Kiosk, where it will be exchanged for a boarding pass.
- Please bring your original passport. Copies of passports are not accepted.
