Program Description
Find out why Budapest is considered one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals. On this full-day trip from Vienna, you will admire impressive architecture, discover the history of a city divided by the Danube and visit the most important sights in both Pest and historic Buda.
The tour begins with a sightseeing drive through Pest, where you will see some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. The route includes the magnificent Neo-Gothic Parliament Building, the elegant Hungarian State Opera House and the impressive Heroes’ Square - one of Budapest’s most important historic sites.
After free time for lunch (not included), continue with a guided walking tour through Buda, located on the opposite side of the Danube. Explore the historic Royal Palace, the romantic Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful architecture and fascinating history.
The final part of the tour includes a visit to Margaret Island, a peaceful green area in the heart of Budapest, famous for its parks and recreational spaces. After sightseeing, enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace, go shopping or simply relax before returning to Vienna.
