Program Description
There are places you simply won't discover while strolling through the centre of Vienna. Hop on an e-bike and follow a scenic route along the Danube, where lively city boulevards gradually give way to peaceful riverside landscapes and green surroundings. At the end of your journey awaits a remarkable place where a centuries-old winemaking tradition has been carefully preserved for over 900 years.
Accompanied by a professional guide, you'll leave the city centre behind and enjoy one of the most picturesque cycling routes around Vienna. Thanks to the electric bike, you can simply relax, take in the views and experience the Austrian capital from a completely different perspective.
Your destination is Klosterneuburg Abbey, an impressive Augustinian monastery dating back to the 12th century. Once home to the Babenberg and Habsburg dynasties, it has played an important role in Austria's history and remains one of the country's most significant historic landmarks.
After exploring the abbey, it's time to discover one of its greatest treasures. Within its walls lies Austria's oldest monastic winery, where the winemaking tradition has been nurtured for more than nine centuries. During the wine tasting, you'll sample selected wines while listening to stories about the Augustinian monks who have carried on this remarkable heritage for generations.
This tour combines active sightseeing, beautiful scenery and authentic local flavours. If you're looking to escape the bustle of Vienna for a few hours and discover its surroundings from a different perspective, this experience is not to be missed.
