Program Description
Enjoy an unforgettable evening of classical music in the heart of Vienna. In the magnificent St. Charles' Church (Karlskirche), you'll experience one of Antonio Vivaldi's greatest masterpieces - The Four Seasons. It's a unique opportunity to combine the beauty of Baroque architecture with the timeless music of one of history's most celebrated composers.
Antonio Vivaldi arrived in Vienna in 1740, just three years after the completion of St. Charles' Church. Although the final years of his life were marked by hardship, he spent his last months in the Austrian capital and was buried at Karlskirche. Like Mozart's, his grave has unfortunately not survived, but his music continues to captivate audiences around the world.
During the concert, you'll hear The Four Seasons - a cycle of four revolutionary violin concertos inspired by poems written by Vivaldi himself. Each concerto paints a vivid musical picture, from summer thunderstorms and flashes of lightning to birdsong, barking dogs, hunting scenes and the cracking of winter ice.
The combination of Vivaldi's timeless music and the remarkable setting of Karlskirche creates an unforgettable experience for both classical music enthusiasts and those discovering one of the world's most iconic musical works for the first time.

- Concert starts at 20:15; doors open at 19:45.

- Dress appropriately and respect the church as the concert venue. Temperatures may vary throughout the year.
- Re-entry is not permitted during the concert. Please use the restroom before the performance.
