Program Description
Discover one of China's most iconic landmarks on a tour to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China. This beautifully preserved part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site offers spectacular mountain scenery, historic fortifications and the opportunity to explore one of the world's greatest engineering achievements at your own pace. The excursion also includes a short stop at two of Beijing's most famous modern landmarks – the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.
Your journey begins at Beitucheng Metro Station, where you will meet your guide before travelling to the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Upon arrival, you will have approximately 4 hours of free time to explore the wall independently. Walk along one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall, admire its impressive watchtowers and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
After your visit, you will return to Beijing with a short stop at Beijing Olympic Park. Here, you will view two of the park's most iconic landmarks from the outside: the National Stadium, better known as the Bird's Nest, and the Water Cube (National Aquatics Centre), both built for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and celebrated as masterpieces of contemporary architecture.
The tour concludes at Beitucheng Metro Station.
