Program Description

Visit the Conciergerie, one of Paris's most remarkable medieval landmarks, located on the historic Île de la Cité. Once a royal palace and later one of the most infamous prisons of the French Revolution, this Gothic monument offers a fascinating journey through French history.

During your visit, you will discover the former royal residence that preceded the Louvre as the seat of French kings. Explore the prison cells from the French Revolution, including the reconstructed cell of Queen Marie Antoinette, who was held here before her execution.

One of the highlights of the visit is the magnificent Salle des Gens d'Armes, the largest surviving medieval Gothic hall in Europe. Its soaring vaulted ceilings and impressive stone columns reflect the grandeur of the former royal palace.

This is a unique opportunity to explore a monument that witnessed both the splendour of the French monarchy and the dramatic events of the Revolution.
