Program Description
First, cobbled streets steeped in history. Then, Budapest stretching out on both sides of the Danube, seen from high above the city. And finally, the interiors of one of Europe's most recognisable buildings. This tour will show you the Hungarian capital in all its splendour - from places that echo its past to architecture that has become a symbol of the city.
In the Castle District, you'll step into the historic heart of Buda and discover places that have shaped its story over the centuries with your guide. Then, it's time for a change of perspective - from Gellért Hill, you'll look out over the Budapest skyline and the Danube winding between Buda and Pest. The route will also take you through City Park, near Europe's largest thermal spa.
The most impressive chapter of the day is saved for last. The Hungarian Parliament Building encompasses almost 18,000 m² of neo-Gothic architecture within one of Budapest's most distinctive landmarks. This time, you won't simply admire it as part of the city's riverside skyline - you'll step inside and explore its interiors with a guide. It's a fitting finale in a building regarded as one of the most beautiful parliamentary buildings in the world.
