Program Description
If you would like to discover the authentic side of Kenya away from the popular resorts, this tour is a great opportunity to experience everyday life in the countryside. A scenic bike ride will take you through local communities, where you will encounter traditional customs, meet local residents and gain a deeper understanding of rural Kenyan culture.
After being picked up from your hotel, you will head to the bicycle rental station, where your adventure begins. The first stop will be a local market, filled with colours, aromas and regional products. This is where local people do their daily shopping, and you will have the chance to see fresh fruit, vegetables and handmade goods offered by local vendors.
Next, you will visit a traditional Kenyan farm, where you will learn more about daily life in the countryside. One of the highlights will be a demonstration of coconut tree climbing, a skill that has been practised by local communities for generations.
The tour will then continue with a visit to a local herbal healer, who will introduce you to traditional remedies commonly used within the community. You will learn about the plants and herbs that have played an important role in local folk medicine for many years and discover how these traditions remain part of everyday life.
This engaging cultural experience will give you a unique insight into the customs, traditions and lifestyle of rural Kenya. After the tour, you will return to the bicycle rental station before being transferred back to your hotel.
The order of visits and the programme may be subject to change.

Reviews
Everything was fine except that the men didn`t have the opportunity to prove themselves in climbing a palm tree, even though it was in the program.
