Program Description
Discover Zanzibar's natural side with a visit to Jozani National Park, located in the southern part of the island. Covering approximately 50 km², this lush area is home to diverse vegetation and its most famous residents - the Zanzibar red colobus monkeys.
During a guided walk through the tropical forest, you will see red mahogany trees, eucalyptus and various species of palms. Learn how local women have traditionally used palm leaves for weaving and discover the traditional uses and medicinal properties of selected plants and leaves.
One of the highlights of the experience is the chance to see Zanzibar red colobus monkeys. These distinctive primates can often be spotted in groups, moving between the branches in search of young leaves.
The route also takes you through the lush swamp forest and along a specially designed boardwalk through the mangroves. Depending on the tide, you may spot colourful crabs or small fish living within this unique ecosystem.
After your visit to the park, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
